They have been incredible with both of my children who now attend weekly. The swimming instructors are fantastic with the children and make swimming lessons something to look forward to each week. We did the intensive Easter course and progress over the four days was amazing. Our girls improved in confidence and it was amazing to see them develop their technique. My youngest was very scared of water but with such patient and caring teachers in small, calm groups he is now swimming confidently and absolutely loving his swimming lessons. We've had a number of different teachers and all have been excellent, giving them a love of the water and for the sport. As teenages they now have great looking technique and confidence and I love watching them cut through the water! My eldest has very reluctantly finally stopped due to increasing school pressures and other sports team commitments but he has kept it up so long because he loved going! He will really miss it. My child has been swimming with Edge Swim School for a year now. All the teachers she has been taught by are skilled in showing the children technique, building up in stages the strokes, fantastic child to adult ratio and a good balance of gentle but firm in terms of approach to keeping the kids focussed and feeling secure/ safe. Communication with the team is excellent too, they are responsive to email, send reminders about terms etc and have been accommodating where we needed to make changes to the class. After a very disappointing experience at a previous swim school, we came to try an intensive swim session during the school holidays and straight away we knew to move to Edge Swim School. Not only are the children being taught how to swim, they are also being encouraged and praised along the way - meaning they love to come back every week! My daughter went from holding the side, stopping 3/4 times in one length to being selected for District Swimming with her school in one term. Thank you Andy and to his incredible team of instructors. My son really struggled in the larger swim classes that some of the other companies offered. He was easily distracted waiting for his turn and then often forgot what to do once it was. We were recommended The Edge Swim School - the classes are much smaller and sometimes have multiple instructors helping.
